Installation planning

Before You Install

Check the model-specific manual and applicable plumbing, electrical, drainage, permit, and health requirements before installation.

Site

Confirm operating conditions

  • Confirm water source, test results, peak service flow, pressure, pipe size, power, drain, and treatment order.
  • Keep equipment dry, accessible, ventilated, and protected from freezing, excessive heat, impact, and direct weather.
Access

Leave service clearance

  • Leave room to remove housings, cartridges, UV lamps, quartz sleeves, LED modules, tanks, and valve covers.
  • Preserve access to bypass valves, isolation valves, unions, drains, and electrical disconnects.
Startup

Check the system before use

  • Flush new piping, media, tanks, and housings as instructed.
  • Pressure-test every connection, verify flow direction and bypass position, and confirm alarms, controls, and drain performance.

Maintenance

Maintenance & Replacement Parts

Use your model manual and the condition of your water and system to plan service.

Filters

Cartridges and housings

  • Replace cartridges according to model guidance, pressure drop, water quality, appearance, and performance.
  • Depressurize before opening and inspect O-rings, threads, and sealing surfaces.
UV and UVC LED

Light source and chamber

  • Replace lamps or LED modules according to model-specific service guidance.
  • Clean or replace quartz sleeves when fouled, clouded, cracked, or damaged.
  • Isolate power and never look directly at an operating UV source.
Water softeners

Salt and regeneration

  • Maintain the recommended salt type and level.
  • Check salt bridging, brine level, injector blockage, meter settings, and drain restrictions when performance changes.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

Stop and get qualified help if you suspect a leak, electrical hazard, damaged pressure component, flooding, or unsafe water.

No or low flow

Check water flow

  • Confirm valves and bypass position.
  • Check clogged filters, excessive pressure drop, obstruction, freezing, scale, and damaged piping.
UV alarm or offline

Check UV alerts

  • Use the model-specific manual to interpret the alarm.
  • Check lamp or module seating, ballast or driver connections, flow-switch state, sensors, and service hours after isolating power.
Softener

Check softener status

  • Confirm power, time, program, hardness setting, salt level, and bypass position.
  • Check the brine line, injector, brine-tank water level, meter, and drain line.
Stop and request qualified service when the condition is unsafe

Stop using equipment when there is electrical damage, repeated leakage, a cracked chamber or housing, uncontrolled pressure, flooding, or potentially unsafe water. Follow local health-authority instructions for a positive microbial result or drinking-water advisory.
