Glonyx Point-of-Use UV LED Water Purifier
Model Number: GX-LED-01
Give the drinking water your family uses most a final UVC LED treatment step—right before it reaches the dedicated faucet or dispenser.
Add compact UV treatment to the drinking-water line your family uses for filling glasses and preparing meals. GX-LED-01 operates with water flow after compatible filtration.
1 GPM Rated Flow
5,000-Hour LED Runtime
1/4-Inch Quick Connect5,000-Hour LED Runtime Used Only When Water Flows
GX-LED-01 runs only when you open the dedicated drinking-water faucet. Water flow activates the UVC LED automatically, and the LED turns off when the flow stops. That means its 5,000-hour rating is used during actual treatment—not while the faucet sits idle.
How It Works: UV Disinfection
Extra Protection Right Before the Tap
Even after filtration, microorganisms can remain in a home’s drinking-water line. GX-LED-01 adds an on-demand UVC LED disinfection step after compatible filtration and just before the dedicated faucet or dispenser.
- Use after compatible pre-filtration and follow the rated flow and water-quality requirements.
- Treats up to 1 GPM (4 LPM) on a dedicated drinking-water line.
- Turns on automatically when water flows—no warm-up time.
- Mercury-free 8W UVC LED with 5,000 hours of operating runtime.
- Works best with clear, filtered water that meets the installation requirements.
Clean-looking water can still carry harmful microorganisms—UVC adds a final line of defense before every sip your family takes.
Small System. Big Role in Your Drinking Water.
Built for families who want an added disinfection step without giving up cabinet space or adding another daily routine.
Tested protection before the tap
- Use after compatible pre-filtration and follow the rated flow and water-quality requirements.
- UVC light acts on microorganisms inside the chamber without adding disinfectants at the UV stage.
- Best used after compatible filtration or RO when the water is clear enough for UV treatment.
Fits under the sink. Stays out of the way.
- Slim inline design for a dedicated drinking-water line.
- 1/4-inch quick-connect fittings simplify integration with many faucet, dispenser, and RO layouts.
- Compact 8W design for everyday point-of-use treatment.
Works when you use water. Stops when you don’t.
- Water flow activates the UVC LED automatically.
- The 5,000-hour LED rating is used during actual treatment.
- No warm-up routine and no chemical dosing at the UV stage.
Max Flow Rate
- Rated flow: 1 GPM / 4 LPM
- For a dedicated under-sink faucet, dispenser, or compatible RO drinking-water line.
Water Conditions
- Use after compatible pre-filtration and follow the rated flow and water-quality requirements.
Home Size
- Designed for under-sink drinking-water applications.
- Best for clear, filtered water that meets the installation requirements.
UV Rating
- Power: 8 watts
- LED operating runtime: 5,000 hours
- UVC output reference: 160 mW
Plumbing
- 1/4-inch quick-connect fittings.
- Confirm cabinet space and power access before installation.
Understand the target before choosing a UV system
UV treatment works as water passes through the chamber. Clear water, suitable pre-filtration, flow, and maintenance help the system deliver its intended treatment conditions.
Choose a system by the treatment target, measured peak flow, and required UV dose—not by an organism name alone.
UV acts on susceptible microorganisms as water passes the treatment chamber
UV exposure can inactivate susceptible microorganisms, but delivered dose depends on flow, water clarity, UV transmittance, chamber condition, LED output, and maintenance.
For a drinking-water line, use suitable pre-filtration and confirm the rated flow and installation requirements before relying on the UV stage.
UV does not remove sediment, chlorine, hardness, scale, taste, odor, TDS, or dissolved chemicals. Use separate treatment when those are the goal.E. coli, Legionella, Salmonella
These are reference examples within the bacterial category. UV can be used for bacterial inactivation, but susceptibility and required dose vary by organism and test conditions.
Cryptosporidium and Giardia
Protozoa are a separate target group. Required dose and treatment performance must be evaluated for the organism and system conditions.
Enteric viruses and adenoviruses
Some viruses require substantially higher UV doses than common bacterial targets. Evaluate virus performance separately for the system and conditions.
Bacillus spores and other higher-dose targets
Spores and some viruses can require higher UV doses than many common non-spore-forming bacteria or protozoa. Target-specific validation matters.
Start with the water and the treatment target
Use a current water test and source-water assessment to identify the microbiological concern. Do not select a system from an organism name alone.
Size by required dose and measured peak flow
Delivered UV dose depends on flow, UV transmittance, water clarity, LED output, chamber condition, and maintenance. Pretreatment may be necessary.
Use this scope guide to compare treatment targets and installation conditions. Organism examples are educational; a specific reduction claim requires matching test evidence.
Jump to official UV reference data ↓EPA 254 nm UV dose reference
EPA’s UV Disinfection Guidance Manual lists the following regulatory reference doses for public-water UV validation. The values show why one microorganism result cannot stand in for another. They are not performance ratings for this product and should not be transferred directly to a UVC LED system.
| Target group | 1-log dose | 4-log dose |
|---|---|---|
| Cryptosporidium | 2.5 mJ/cm² | 22 mJ/cm² |
| Giardia | 2.1 mJ/cm² | 22 mJ/cm² |
| Virus | 58 mJ/cm² | 186 mJ/cm² |
Within the cited EPA framework, 1-log corresponds to 90% inactivation credit and 4-log to 99.99%. See the full guidance for scope, validation requirements, interpolation limits, and operating conditions.

What to Know Before Adding UVC LED Protection Under the Sink
1What affects GX-LED-01 UV performance?
Use the purifier within its rated flow and water-quality limits. Results depend on flow, water clarity, installation, and source-water conditions.
2Where should GX-LED-01 be installed?
Install it after compatible filtration or an RO system and before a dedicated drinking-water faucet or dispenser. Confirm 1/4-inch connections, available cabinet space, power access, and water clarity before installation.
3Does the UVC LED run all day?
No. Water flow activates the UVC LED, and it turns off when flow stops. The 5,000-hour rating is therefore used during actual treatment.
4What does the 5,000-hour LED rating mean?
It is the rated operating runtime of the LED module, not a calendar-life guarantee. Actual service life depends on water use, inlet conditions, and installation.
5How long will the LED last in everyday use?
The 5,000-hour rating refers to LED operating time. Follow the product’s service requirements rather than a fixed gallon estimate.
6Does GX-LED-01 replace a filter or RO system?
No. UVC LED disinfection does not remove sediment, chlorine, hardness, dissolved minerals, or chemicals. Use compatible upstream filtration for those water-quality goals.
