Keeps Household Flow in the Treatment Range
The built-in flow regulator helps keep water within the rated treatment range, supporting steadier UV exposure when household pressure changes.
Model Number: GX-LED-12
Turn on the water. UV treatment starts automatically. Track LED operating time on the display, and replace the LED module when service is due.

Built-In Flow
3-YearWhen the LED module reaches its service interval, replace the matching UVC LED module without replacing the complete purifier.
The built-in flow regulator helps keep water within the rated treatment range, supporting steadier UV exposure when household pressure changes.
The separate 5,000-hour countdown driver displays accumulated LED working time and provides a replacement reminder before the module reaches its service target.
The UVC LED module can be serviced separately, helping avoid unnecessary replacement of the complete stainless-steel purifier.
UV treatment works as water passes through the chamber after suitable pre-filtration. It does not remove dissolved minerals or chemical contaminants.
Opening a fixture creates flow through the main line. The built-in flow switch detects that movement and starts the UVC LED stage automatically.

UVC light acts on susceptible microorganisms by damaging the DNA or RNA needed for reproduction.

The countdown driver tracks accumulated LED working time and helps you plan module service before the 5,000-hour target.

Tips: UV is a disinfection stage, not a general filtration stage. It does not remove sediment, chlorine, hardness, scale, TDS, taste, odor, or dissolved chemicals.

UV treatment works as water passes through the chamber. Clear water, suitable pre-filtration, flow, and maintenance help the system deliver its intended treatment conditions.
Choose a system by the treatment target, measured peak flow, and required UV dose—not by an organism name alone.
UV exposure can inactivate susceptible microorganisms, but delivered dose depends on flow, water clarity, UV transmittance, chamber condition, LED output, and maintenance.
For whole-house use, confirm measured peak flow and the required UV dose. The published GX-LED-12 flow rating is a planning reference, not a delivered-dose guarantee.
UV does not remove sediment, chlorine, hardness, scale, taste, odor, TDS, or dissolved chemicals. Use separate treatment when those are the goal. These are reference examples within the bacterial category. UV can be used for bacterial inactivation, but susceptibility and required dose vary by organism and test conditions.
Protozoa are a separate target group. Required dose and treatment performance must be evaluated for the organism and system conditions.
Some viruses require substantially higher UV doses than common bacterial targets. Evaluate virus performance separately for the system and conditions.
Spores and some viruses can require higher UV doses than many common non-spore-forming bacteria or protozoa. Target-specific validation matters.
Use a current water test and source-water assessment to identify the microbiological concern. Do not select a system from an organism name alone.
GX-LED-12 is rated at 12 GPM / 45 LPM. Delivered UV dose still depends on flow, UV transmittance, water clarity, LED output, chamber condition, and maintenance.
Use this scope guide to compare treatment targets and installation conditions. Organism examples are educational; a specific reduction claim requires matching test evidence.
Jump to official UV reference data ↓EPA’s UV Disinfection Guidance Manual lists regulatory reference doses for public-water UV validation. These values show why one microorganism result cannot stand in for another. They are not performance ratings for GX-LED-12 and should not be transferred directly to a UVC LED system.
| Target group | 1-log dose | 4-log dose |
|---|---|---|
| Cryptosporidium | 2.5 mJ/cm² | 22 mJ/cm² |
| Giardia | 2.1 mJ/cm² | 22 mJ/cm² |
| Virus | 58 mJ/cm² | 186 mJ/cm² |
Within the cited EPA framework, 1-log corresponds to 90% inactivation credit and 4-log to 99.99%. See the full guidance for scope, validation requirements, interpolation limits, and operating conditions.

GX-LED-12 combines a built-in flow regulator, a separate 5,000-hour countdown driver, a replaceable UVC LED module, and replaceable service parts. Together, these features provide visible operating information and a component-level service path.
It helps keep water within the rated treatment flow, supporting a more consistent delivered UV dose when household pressure changes.
It displays accumulated LED working time and provides a module replacement reminder, helping the homeowner understand operating status and prepare service in advance.
GX-LED-12 includes a 3-year warranty. After the warranty period, an affected module or compatible service part can be diagnosed and replaced when appropriate. Parts and labor outside warranty follow the applicable service terms.
Yes. GX-LED-12 is designed with a replaceable UVC LED module so the complete stainless-steel purifier does not need to be discarded solely because the module reaches its service target or requires replacement.
Use the purifier within its rated flow and water-quality limits. Performance depends on flow, water clarity, installation, and maintenance.
Often, yes. UV works best with clear water. Sediment, rust, turbidity, and visible particles can interfere with UV exposure, so use suitable pre-filtration when these conditions are present.
Install it at the point of entry after suitable pre-filtration. Confirm peak flow, 1-inch pipe compatibility, pressure, power access, bypass layout, and enough clearance for future module service.
